Ehsan Mirzania is a PhD student in the Centre for Water Systems within the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy at the University of Exeter. He is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).

 

His research focuses on spatial catchment optimisation for precise flood control and the reduction of stormwater spills through the development of an autonomous AI-driven optimisation tool.

 

He began his PhD in September 2025 under the supervision of Dr James Webber and Professor Ed Keedwell.
