Mrs Fern Baker

Fern Baker, the Pastoral Mentor for Engineering, proactively engages with undergraduate and postgraduate students to enhance their university experience and success. By bridging gaps between university services, she prioritizes student wellbeing, fostering a sense of community and belonging. Fern promotes a culture of mutual support, respect, and compassion through individualized guidance. She collaborates with the Harrison Student Hub, Education Welfare Team, and Engineering Academics to develop action plans and academic support systems, aiming to improve student attendance and engagement, and to create an inclusive, supportive, and accessible academic community.
