Justin Hinshelwood is an associate professor in the Renewable Energy team in the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy (FESE) at the University of Exeter. He has a background in biophysics, software engineering and integration of renewable energy technologies. He has a interests in sustainable transport, microgeneration technologies, integration of renewables, fluid dynamics and computational modelling and simulation. His expertise in many areas of science and engineering and his enthusiasm for education prepare him well for teaching engineering. His commitment to renewable energy and his extensive experience in micro generation technologies ideally suit him for his role at the University of Exeter.
Teaching
His teaching contributions span across the Renewable Energy and Camborne School of Mines programmes.
He is a Chartered Engineer with IET and a member of the IET and Energy Institute.
