Jose Alfonso Jimenez Capilla

Jose Capilla graduated with a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Granada and, recently, with an MSc in Structural Engineering from the Politechnical University of Madrid. His dissertation studied the structural complexity of building design.
He recently worked as a Structural Engineer for Arqiva, where he had full responsible for all kind of structures related to the Telecom transmission belonging to Arqiva in Scotland, the West Midlands, Warwickshire and Leicestershire. His duties included assisting with the design and approval of the mast, tower, building, civil and rooftop installations as required by the business, carrying out feasibility costing, scheme design, detailed design, specifications, tender evaluation and structural acceptance.
Jose joined the Vibration Engineering Section at the University of Exeter in October 2016 to study for a PhD under the supervision of Professor James Brownjohn. Sponsored by Arqiva, the PHD will focus on designing dynamic issues in high guyed masts.
