Engineering
I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the department of engineering. My current research focuses on the design and optimisation of phase-change integrated photonic devices for in-memory computing applications. I also have interests in the design and fabrication of embedded microheater devices for switching optical metadevices, as well as in developing new models for simulating the optical and electrical behaviour of phase-change materials.
I completed a PhD in physics and engineering at the University of Exeter in 2024. Here I worked on developing memory technology suitable for integration into flexible integrated circuits in collaboration with industrial partner Pragmatic Semiconductor. This work involved the computational simulation, design, fabrication and testing of memory devices.
