Engineering
I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate on the SHUTTERING Project, which aims to develop novel structural elements manufactured with low-carbon concrete and permanent auxetic textile formworks. My work involves the manufacture, testing, and numerical modelling of low-carbon concrete composites coupled with auxetic frames, as well as the development of form-finding and shape-optimisation techniques to enhance structural efficiency and sustainability.
In addition to this work, I have a strong research interest in the recycling and reuse of fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) wind turbine blades in concrete structures. My research focuses on integrating material characterisation, experimental testing, and finite element modelling to develop sustainable composite–concrete systems for structural applications.
