Dr Allen He

Dr He received his BSc in Chemistry from Nankai University (China) in 2005. Then he received his MSc and PhD degrees in Engineering Management from University of Exeter in the year of 2007 and 2011 respectively. Dr He has worked at the University of Exeter since 2012. He was a Post-doc in 2012 - 2015 on two EU Interreg V projects (MeCagrO2 and Taste 2 Seas), Lecturer (E&S) in Engineering Management in 2016 – 2017, and Research Fellow in UK-China Advanced Structure Manufacturing Technology Laboratory in 2017 – 2020. He is currently an E&R Lecturer in Exeter Engineering and Management Research Group.
Dr He’s research interests are related to dynamic decision integration and optimisation in hierarchical system, agent-based system modelling and control, production planning and scheduling for flexible manufacturing, and additive manufacturing. Current research topics include:
- Dynamically integrated multi-project management
- Dynamically integrated scheduling/rescheduling in flexible manufacturing system
- Agent-based supervision, control and simulation platform for robot warehouse system
- Digital tools' application for smart manufacturing
- Production planning and scheduling in additive manufacturing
