Engineering Streatham
I am a PhD researcher at the University of Exeter, funded by the QUEX Institute, currently working on the project "Intervertebral Disc on a Microfluidic Chip" under the supervision of Prof. Tim Holsgrove (University of Exeter) and Prof. Justin Cooper White (University of Queensland). I bring over a decade of experience in both academic and industry-facing roles within the biomedical and life sciences sector. My research background spans tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, supported by strong expertise in molecular biology, cell culture, and strategic project planning for the development and translation of biomedical technologies.
Prior to starting my PhD, I held roles supporting the commercialisation and technical delivery of advanced genetic and molecular biology solutions, working closely with clinicians and researchers in the Middle East, to support the strategic implementation of life science research portfolio including next-generation sequencing technologies. I have also held academic research appointments at the University of Sherbrooke and UAE University, where I contributed to experimental design, laboratory management, and the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
