Mr Steve Spaull

I am the Technical Strategy and Operations Faculty Partner for the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy. My role supports ESE activities in Devon, specifically Exeter campuses and at the Science Park.

My role involves management of the technical staff supporting research and teaching activities in Business School, Engineering, Geography and Physics department and providing academically managed staff with a 'point of contact'. I also advise Departments within ESE on capital projects, technical aspects of research projects and general laboratory operations.

TS&O provides a 24/7/365 on call rota supporting all technical spaces in the univeristy and I take part in that rota for Exeter-based spaces (ESE, HLS and HASS aligned).

Previously I have been the Laboratory Manager for the Living Systems Institute and a Research Technician in the Medical School, based within the Clinical Research Facility in RILD.

Before working at the univeristy, I was a drugs forensic scientist with the Forensic Science Service, providing expert analysis and witness services on drugs of abuse in the UK.
