Xizheng Fang is a PhD student in Engineering at the University of Exeter, supervised by Prof. Yang Liu and Professor Halim Alwi. His research focuses on capsule robotics for gastrointestinal applications.
Research interests:
He is currently working on the design, control, and experimental evaluation of a rotational capsule robot for use in the colon. His research also explores the use of capsule-tissue interaction signals for abnormal tissue sensing. More generally, he is interested in small-scale medical robots and minimally invasive robotic technologies.
