Professors Fu and Savic receive awards from ASCE EWRI

Professor Guangtao Fu and Professor Dragan Savic both received awards from the ASCE Environmental & Water Resources Institute (EWRI) at the recent 2018 EWRI Congress in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Professor Fu and his collaborators in China received the 2018 EWRI “Best Research-Oriented Paper” for their paper “Zhang C, Xu B, Li Y, Fu G. (2017) Exploring the relationships among reliability, resilience, and vulnerability of water supply using many-objective analysisJournal of Water Resources Planning and Management, volume 143, no. 8, DOI:10.1061/(ASCE)WR.1943-5452.0000787.” This paper provides an insight into the operational resilience of water supply systems and part of the BRIM network funded by EPSRC.   

Professor Savic was awarded the 2018 EWRI "Best Seminal Paper Award" for the paper "Savic DA, Walters GA. (1997) Genetic Algorithms for Least-Cost Design of Water Distribution Networks, Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management, volume 123, no. 2, pages 67-77, DOI:10.1061/(ASCE)0733-9496(1997)123:2(67)."
