Dr Mehdi Khoury presenting the Millbrook Serious Game

ICT 2018 Conference

The Centre for Water Systems participated in the ICT2018 Innovation Conference and Exhibition (Imagine Digital - Connect Europe), which took place in Vienna from 4-6th December 2018.

This event is organised every three years and attracts digital innovation from across Europe, including from academia, industry, SMEs, start-ups, NGOs, students, education and press. Around 4,800 visitors attended this event, which included exhibition booths, demonstrations, networking sessions, thematic sessions and a plenary Conference.

Dr Lydia Vamvakeridou, a leading member of the ICT4WATER cluster, organised two thematic networking sessions on behalf of the cluster with the support of EASME. The first session focused on The Digital Water Action Plan and the second session focused on EU funded projects towards a Smart Water Task Force, where Dr Mehdi Khoury presented the SIM4NEXUS project. At the ICT4Water exhibition booth, Mehdi presented and demonstrated the Millbrook Serious Games, developed at the Centre for Water Systems, and the SIM4NEXUS project, while Lydia presented the newly started NEXTGEN project (Circular Water Solutions).
