Overview
Yuxuan Yao is a Postgraduate Researcher in the Centre for Water Systems, working under the supervision of Dr. James Webber and Prof. Guangtao Fu. His research focuses on evaluating the stormwater management performance of urban green infrastructure, with emphasis on landscape structure and metrics, urban hydrological modelling, impact assessment analysis and urban spatial planning.
Before joining the CWS, he worked as a landscape architect in China for 3.5 years, with experience in design, construction and management of blue-green infrastructure projects such as waterfront spaces, constructed wetlands and stormwater parks.
Yuxuan has previously studied Master’s programmes in Landscape Architecture at the University of Western Australia and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
