Professor Savic (FREng, FICE, FCIWEM, FIWA, MASCE, CEng) is a founder and former director of the Centre for Water Systems.  He is the UK’s first Professor of Hydroinformatics having held this post at the University of Exeter since 2001. He is a former CEO of KWR Water Research Institute, the Dutch drinking water companies’ collective research organisation. Currently, he serves as the Global Advisor on Digital Sciences at KWR.

 

Professor Savic is a Chartered Civil and Water Engineer with over forty years of experience in research, teaching and consulting. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, a Member of the European Academy of Sciences, a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM), and a Distinguished Fellow of the International Water Association (IWA).

 

Additionally, Professor Savic served as the Head of the Engineering Department from 2010 until 2014.
